We, at Loksadhana, believe that, unless our citizens get involved proactively in the process of change-making, sustainable and long lasting development won’t happen. We encourage and invite all volunteers especially volunteers from Mumbai, Pune and of course all across the country to participate in this path-finding experiment where we can transform lives of these village kids by educating them.

The more exposure we can give our students the more ideas they will get about what they want to do in future. You can also participate in career counselling as students are often confused about their careers when they reach 10th or 12th standards. Introducing them to different career options will help them to analyse all the new career opportunities available in the market and help them to take a wise decision at a very early age. This will help them to get well paying jobs and transform the lives of others around them.

Even if you want to just engage with kids and share your knowledge and interact with them, Loksadhana will always welcome you. Usually, people staying in Pune and Mumbai who are looking for Volunteer opportunities approach us. We will be more than happy if people from all over India and abroad get to know about the task we are doing here at Loksadhana and contribute by sharing their knowledge with our kids.

English Speaking
Become an English Teacher and support students from low-income communities. Students in villages usually don’t get exposure like the students in the cities. Teach them Spoken English, Grammar and teach them to express themselves more effectively.

In the past we have had volunteers who conducted Robotics Workshops for Children at NGO. Make sure you plan topics which can be started with minimum computer knowledge. We also have students who have manufactures drones from scrap material such as mobile batteries of used phones. We would like to explore all the offerings you can provide.

Sports Development
A lot of coaches from Mumbai and Pune come to us to teach various sports such as Football, Cricket, Volleyball, etc. While it is our endeavor to provide the best training facilities for our school kids, sometimes we have to settle for less due to the shortage of funds.

Introductory Programming Camp
It is time to harness the power of artificial intelligence for everyone. We, at Loksadhana, would want to give an introduction to programming to our school kids aged 12-17 years. It is our endeavor to present the latest career opportunities for our students. Planting seed for programming and artificial intelligence is one such aim to bring radical changes in the lives of these students.

Too often in life, we wait around for someone else to instigate the changes we want to see. We doubt our own ability and become paralyzed to action, thinking either we are not solely capable of bringing the changes about, or that someone else will get around to it. But this inability to act alone is all in our head. Because history bears witness that most ordinary people did the most extraordinary things.
And this individual action is certainly the need of the hour for India – the land of great contrasts! So, if we have ever wished to be able to do something for the greater good, the time could not be more right.
We don’t have to make radical changes for our efforts to count, because the small changes make a big difference.
No matter one’s capacity, all of us can always lend a helping hand to the less fortunate around us. From monetary contributions, engagement in our campaigns, volunteering opportunities to directly work with communities, to joining the Loksadhana team and working with us, there are many ways you can be part of our endeavor to work for the marginalized and the underprivileged.
